The Justice and Home Affairs Section at the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) is organizing together with the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC, SOC Section) a Lunchtime Meeting titled ‘The situation of Roma in the EU: A Challenge for the EU’s Area of Freedom, Security & Justice?’ on the 29th September 2010. The organization of the Lunchtime meeting falls within the ENACT Project (Enacting European Citizenship), a research project funded by the 7th Framework Research Programme of DG Research of the European Commission and coordinated by The Open University in the UK.
Speakers include: Mario Sepi (President, European Economic and Social Committee), Thomas Hammarberg (Commissioner for Human Rights, Council of Europe), Ioannis Dimitrakopoulos (Head of the Equality and Citizen’s Rights Department, Fundamental Rights Agency) and Elspeth Guild (Senior Associate Research Fellow, CEPS).
