Second progress report

Starting from August 2008, RGSL team re-initiated monthly discussions. The first discussion took place on basis of comments received by ENACT central team and request for corrections. Since the main comments were addressed to methodology, the RGSL team decided to postpone the accommodation of comments until the submission of an article in December.

In September RGSL team worked on updated methodology. The decision was made to base the study on theories of democracy and soft power. Members of the team divided tasks and started investigative work.

Frist progress report

During January-March 2008 the RGSL Team worked on overall structure of the deliverables and the aims to be achieved by the RGSL during ENACT study. As the result of the study and discussions on methodology the presentation was prepared for the Inaugural seminar (WP 8 Enacting European Citizenship in Latvia). RGSL Team identified a number of questions from the list offered by the Open University (OU) to be studied. Taking into account the historical factors in Latvia and the objectives of the project three groups for research purposes were identified: non-citizens, Latvian migrant workers, and youth organizations.
